Du Mercredi 17 au Vendredi 19 Juin 2015, la 7è Journée Mondiale de Sensibilisation à la Drépanocytose a été commémorée à Kinshasa, respectivement par deux matinées scientifiques au Collège BOBOTO, une campagne de conscientisation de masse à l’Echangeur de Limeté et une soirée de gala à la Salle des conférences de la Banque TMB à la Gombe...
- Le mercredi 17/06/2015, premier jour de la matinée scientifique co-organisée par le REZODREPANO et La PAFOVED/Monkole, dont les Représentants : le Dr Ange NGONDE et le Père Henri DELAKHETULE d’un côté, et le Dr Robert KITENGE, de l’autre côté, ont souhaité la bienvenue aux participants.
Plusieurs intervenants du monde médical ont présenté leurs activités et l’expérience qu’ils ont acquise dans la lutte contre cette maladie, sous la modération du Dr Jules BONGONGO. Directeur du Programme National de Santé Scolaire et Universitaire.
Il s’agit entre autres de :
1. Dr MIKOBI MINGA, de CUK/CMMASS, a d’abord parlé de l’historique de la drépanocytose depuis sa découverte aux USA, jusqu’au stade actuel où plusieurs travaux de recherche ont contribué à l’amélioration de la qualité de vie des drépanocytaires. Il est revenu présenter les résultats de ses recherches sur le polymorphisme alpha thalassémie associé à la drépanocytose en milieu congolais, étude effectuée en Belgique, avec un échantillon de 102 drépanocytaires suivis au CMMASS.
2. Dr MUJINGA MULUMBA, du CMMASS, s’est penchée sur l’importance des vaccins dans la prise en charge des drépanocytaires, lesquels protègent ces derniers contre les infections auxquelles ils sont souvent susceptibles.
3. Dr Robert KITENGE, de la PAFOVED, a premièrement parlé de l’expérience du CH Monkole où, depuis 2006 jusqu’à ce jour 108.247 personnes ont été dépistées, ayant fourni …..SS, lesquels sont directement pris en charge par la fourniture des médicaments essentiels tels que l’acide folique, la péni V, le paracétamol, les vermifuges, etc. Il a également parlé de la molécule de l’Hydréa qui présente plusieurs effets bénéfiques pour les drépanocytaires. Le jeudi 18/06/2015 (deuxième jour);
1. le Dr Robert KITENGE, de la PAFOVED, est revenu sur l’expérience de la PAFOVED sur le dépistage néonatal de la drépanocytose en RDC, étendu à plusieurs Provinces dont : le Bas-Congo, le Katanga, le Kasaï Oriental, Kinshasa (avec 28 centres pilotes) et le Maniema, où l’on a formé le personnel médical, les membres des Associations et les parents des drépanocytaires, ayant abouti à la réduction de 40 % du taux de mortalité chez les SS.
2. Le Dr Ange NGONDE, de REZODREPANO, a présenté l’impact de son ONG « REZODREPANO », dont les activités ont été basées sur dans la sensibilisation de la population sur la drépanocytose, le soutien apporté aux malades dans le cadre de la prise ne charge de proximité en fournissant médicaments et intrant de laboratoires dans 10 hôpitaux de référence de la capitale, la récolte des dons bénévoles de sang et l’élaboration d’un manuel de sensibilisation pour les élèves et les enseignants de la RDC avec les experts des ministères de la Santé pubique et ceux de l’enseignement primaire et secondaire.
3. Le Dr Baron NGASIA, ancien Coordinateur de la PAFOVED, revenait du Cameroun où il avait participé aux travaux du REDAC sur la drépanocytose (Réseau d’Etude de la Drépanocytose en Afrique Centrale) : il a encouragé les participants à continuer la lutte contre cette maladie qui frappe plusieurs familles dans notre pays.
4. Dr Jules BONGONGO a présenté les activités du Programme National de Santé Scolaire et Universitaire, qui intéresse également les élèves et étudiants drépanocytaires.
A la fin de chaque exposé, l’orateur répondait aux préoccupations présentées par les participants, parmi lesquels plusieurs médecins, des drépanocytaires et des membres des Associations.
Ces deux journées ont été clôturées par les témoignages des drépanocytaires sur la manière dont ils vivent avec cette maladie : le Dr Patrick NDJULE et le jeune Christian MBUYI, drépanocytaire diplômé d’Etat.

- Le vendredi 19/06/2015, à la campagne de conscientisation de population sur la drépanocytose à l’Echangeur de Limeté, la Directrice du PNLCD, le Représentant du REZODREPANO et le Directeur de Cabinet du Ministre de la Santé Publique, ont présenté les travaux de leur contribution à la lutte contre la drépanocytose en RDC.
Une centaine des personnes se sont fait dépister gratuitement et 74 personnes ont fait des dons bénévoles de sang en faveur des drépanocytaires.
Cette rencontre a été agrémentée par des artistes musiciens et des comédiens que la population de Kinshasa apprécie beaucoup.

Configurations
Boilers can be classified into the following configurations:
Container boiler or Haycock boiler/Haystack boiler: a primitive "kettle" where a fire heats a partially filled drinking water box from below. 18th century Haycock boilers generally produced and stored large volumes of very low-pressure vapor, hardly above that of the atmosphere often. Supercritical steam generators are used for the production of electric power frequently. They operate at supercritical pressure.
